"Menahem Pressler is one of the greatest artists I have ever met. It is not
only because of his talent but also because of his spirit. This man has never
gotten old or tired. His responsibility for the works he is performing alone or
with his Trio is astonishing. This has kept him fresh for over fifty years from
the time he has created the Beaux-Arts Trio. Several times I had the honor to
conduct him with his trio in theBeethoven Triple Concerto or as a soloist in
Beethoven's Choral Fantasy. He has had tremendous success whether as a
performer or as a teacher and mentor. He is not only a wonderful artist and
performer but he is for the next generation a true example of how a great human
being should be. I personally have the highest admiration for him and his work
and he desrves the greatest recognition."
